Arthur Dominick and Joanna Hunter are the friendly staff who run Caladh Funeral Services. Between them they have gained 14 years experience ensuring every service is dealt with the upmost professional and dignified manner. Every funeral arrangement differs depending on family wishes and we are extremely flexible in this respect. We recognise that personal and individual attention is vital in every service we arrange.

The word 'Caladh' is a Gaelic term translating to 'harbour or haven' which we feel is appropriate given the location of the business and also the representation of the funeral service as a safe haven for our clients.

Arthur was born and brought up in Dunoon and has a unique insight into the local customs and traditions of not just the town but of the surrounding area.

“We feel strongly about customer care. After years of experience
we realise that running a funeral service is more than just running a business”

Joanna who has been living in Dunoon for years knows all too well the pain involved of losing a loved one.

“When someone close to you dies the last thing you want to think about is arranging a funeral. We aim to take the stress and responsibility off your hands. Even if families do not have their own transport we can provide the company vehicle”

A funeral is the final affair that can be held for a deceased relative or friend and we are here to carry out people's wishes for their loved one in a professional and dignified manner.
